Email Outreach Policy

The rules nOS follows when it emails schools that have not contacted us first, and how to make it stop.

nOS sometimes introduces itself by email to people at schools who have not contacted us first. This policy states what that outreach may and may not do. It applies to nOS LLC and to anyone who sends email on our behalf, from any domain we use for outreach.

1. Who we email

  • Only professional contacts at schools, such as registrars, principals, heads of school and academic deans, about school scheduling software.
  • Only at work email addresses published by the school itself or in public school directories.
  • We never email students, parents or consumers.

2. Where addresses come from

We find addresses ourselves from public school sources. We never buy, rent, trade or share email lists.

3. How much we send

Each person receives at most one first message and two short follow-ups. If they reply, or ask us to stop, the sequence ends. Every message is addressed to one person; we do not send bulk announcements to people who have not asked for them.

4. What every message includes

  • The sender's real name and nOS LLC as the business sending it.
  • An honest subject line that describes the message.
  • A valid postal address for nOS LLC.
  • A working way to opt out: an unsubscribe link, or simply replying to say you are not interested.

5. Opting out

Any request to stop, whether by the unsubscribe link, by reply, or by writing to bennettmiller@nosplanner.com, is honored promptly and permanently. We add the address to a suppression list and do not email it again from any nOS domain. We never charge for, or ask for more information to process, an opt-out.

6. No third-party promotion

No affiliate, reseller, agency or other third party may promote nOS, usenos.org or nosplanner.com by email. If you receive unsolicited email promoting nOS that did not come from us, please forward it to bennettmiller@nosplanner.com.

7. Sending domains

To protect the delivery of email from nosplanner.com, outreach may be sent from separate domains registered to nOS, currently nosatlas.com, nosstride.com and stridenos.com. Those domains follow this policy in full.

8. Laws we follow

Our outreach is designed to comply with the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act.

9. Reporting a problem

If you believe nOS emailed you in a way that breaks this policy, write to bennettmiller@nosplanner.com. We will stop contacting you and look into what happened. Related documents: Privacy Policy · Terms of Service.
