Per enrolled student, per year: $9.60 for a school of up to 100 students, falling ten cents for every further 100 students to a $7.00 floor. The per-student rate falls as a school grows, and the total never does. Multi-year terms and districts are quoted below list.
The total is what the invoice says; the per-student figure describes it. At a band boundary the total is capped at the next band's opening price, so adding a student never costs the school more in total. This is the same arithmetic the payment screen uses.

Every new account starts with 30 days free, from the moment it is created at nosplanner.com/signup. It is the whole product: import or connect your data, write rules, build, use nOS AI, and export.
When the 30 days end, building, the assistant and exports pause until a plan starts. Nothing is deleted. Every schedule and the workbook stay exactly where they were, and starting the plan opens them again. Colleagues join by an administrator’s invitation to their exact address, never by a shared link.

Questions we get asked.
How is student data handled? Is nOS FERPA compliant?
nOS acts as a school official under FERPA. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, hosted in the United States, never sold, and never used to train AI models. The nOS AI Assistant is read-only and never writes back to your student information system.
Which student information systems does nOS connect to?
Nineteen systems. Fifteen take the finished schedule back over their own API; Canvas through its own import file; PowerSchool as a reviewed handoff file your administrator imports. Clever is read-only, and SchoolRunner does not get the schedule back yet. Anything not on the list comes in as a spreadsheet, and every connection needs an administrator to issue the credentials. How long does it take to get started?
Create the account yourself at nosplanner.com/signup: your school's name, your name, a work email and a password. It starts on the thirty-day trial at once, and you invite colleagues from Settings. Once your data is in, a full build takes hours rather than weeks, and most of that is checking the data rather than waiting on the build.
What is the difference between nOS and the nOS AI Assistant?
nOS builds your master schedule and includes nOS AI. The nOS AI Assistant is a separate read-only app that answers plain-English questions about a schedule you already have.
Does the licence renew automatically, and how do we cancel?
Yes. The annual licence renews so scheduling never stops mid-cycle. We email your billing contact 60 days beforehand with the renewal date, the enrolled student count and the amount, and the invoice follows about 45 days out, net 30. Turn auto-renewal off any time under Settings, then Billing, or email us. Cancel at least 30 days before the renewal date and nothing further is owed; any renewal invoice already issued is voided, and you keep full access through the term you have paid for.
Can we try nOS on our own data before committing?
Yes, three ways. The thirty-day trial is the whole product on your own data, from the moment you create the account. Bring next year's course requests to a demo and we build against them with you. And the free audit runs on your own file in your browser, with no account at all.
Do you offer multi-year or multi-campus pricing?
Yes. Multi-year terms and districts running nOS across several campuses are priced below the per-student list rate. Ask for a quote.
What happens to our schedules if we stop?
Everything exports as CSV, Excel or PDF for as long as your licence runs: student schedules, section summaries, rosters, teacher and room schedules, and unfilled requests. If you came from a student information system, it stayed the system of record throughout. Exports pause only if a free trial ends without a plan — nothing is deleted, and starting the plan opens them again.
