A band's rate is where it starts. Near the top of a band the total is capped at the next band's opening price, so the rate you actually pay is a little lower. The calculator above shows your school's own number.
What happens in the free trial
Every new account gets three days free. Create the account at nosplanner.com/signup, and the three days start when you press Start the free trial. It is the whole product: import or connect your data, write rules, build, use nOS AI, and export.
When the three days end, building, exports and nOS AI pause until a plan starts. Nothing you built is lost. Every schedule and the workbook stay exactly where they were, and starting the plan opens them again. If no plan starts, we email a warning and delete the trial’s data 90 days after the trial ends. Colleagues join by an administrator’s invitation to their exact address, never by a shared link.
Common questions
How is student data handled? Is nOS FERPA compliant?
nOS acts as a school official under FERPA. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, hosted in the United States, never sold, and never used to train AI models. The one disclosed exception to US-only handling is live collaboration, whose encrypted messages may route outside the US; see Security.
Which student information systems does nOS connect to?
Nineteen systems. Four take the finished schedule back over their own API; Canvas through its own import file; PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, Skyward, Synergy, Rediker, Genesis and SchoolRunner as a reviewed handoff file your administrator imports. FACTS, Focus, ClassLink, Frontline, Illuminate, Sycamore and Clever are read-only. Anything not on the list comes in as a spreadsheet, and every connection needs an administrator to issue the credentials. The full list.
How long does it take to get started?
Create the account at nosplanner.com/signup and press Start to begin the 3-day trial. Once your data is in, a build takes hours, not weeks, and most of that is checking the data.
What is the difference between nOS and the nOS AI Assistant?
nOS builds your master schedule and includes nOS AI. The Assistant is a separate read-only app that answers questions about a schedule you already have.
Does the license renew automatically, and how do we cancel?
Yes, yearly, so scheduling never stops mid-cycle. It renews at the same per-student rate unless we tell you about a change, more than once and at least 60 days before renewal. We email your billing contact 60 days before renewal with the date, the student count and the amount; the invoice follows about 45 days out, net 30. Cancel in Settings, then Billing, up to 30 days before the renewal date, or email us, and nothing more is owed. You keep access through the term you paid for.
Can we try nOS on our own data before committing?
Yes. The 3-day trial is the whole product on your own data. Create an account and begin whenever you are ready.
Do we need a student roster before we pay?
No. The price is set by the enrollment you expect, which you enter when you start a plan. With Teachers only on, you can schedule your teachers and classes before any student is loaded.
Do you offer multi-year or multi-campus pricing?
Yes. Multi-year terms and districts running several campuses are priced below list. Ask for a quote.
What happens to our schedules if we stop?
Everything exports as CSV, Excel or PDF for as long as the license runs, and your student information system stayed the system of record. If a trial ends without a plan, your work stays saved, and starting the plan opens building and exports again. If no plan starts, we email a warning and delete the trial’s data 90 days after the trial ends.
