nOS schedules a lower school by homeroom.
Add each grade’s homerooms, then schedule your teachers, homerooms and specials before any child is loaded.
What nOS does for lower schools
Start with homerooms and teachers. Children can come later.
nOS is master scheduling software. At a lower school, you add each grade’s homerooms and turn on Teachers only, and nOS schedules your teachers and classes with no children loaded. Add children any time; nOS keeps this work.
Schedule your homerooms, specials and teachers now. Add children any time; nOS keeps this work.

How do you schedule a lower school before enrollment?
Bring in your teachers and classes from a file or your SIS. Open Specials and core time, add each grade’s homerooms on the Homerooms tab, and turn on Teachers only. nOS places every class in a period, keeps each teacher and homeroom in one place at a time, and Results shows how many classes are ready, along with each teacher’s load.
A school that ran teachers only starts next year the same way, and keeps its teachers’ classes from the year before.

Questions lower schools ask
Can we schedule before children are enrolled?
Yes. Turn on Teachers only and nOS schedules your teachers, homerooms and classes now. Add children any time; nOS keeps this work.
How do we set up homerooms?
Open Specials and core time, then Homerooms. Add a grade’s homerooms at once, or one at a time with a teacher. Every homeroom needs a grade.
How is a schedule with no children measured?
By Classes ready: the share of classes that are staffed, placed and free of teacher, room and homeroom double-bookings. No child is counted.
Can nOS keep teacher loads even?
Yes. Give a teacher a minimum number of classes, or ask nOS to balance teacher loads. Both are preferences, and Preflight warns you when the teachers can’t carry the classes.
How much does it cost?
nOS is priced per student per year, by the enrollment you expect, so you don’t need a roster to start. The rate steps down as a school grows, and there is no setup fee. See the price for your school.
