Built for every kind of school.

Public or independent, PK or high school, a seven-day drop or a flex mod, semesters or year-round tracks, one campus or several. nOS is set up the way your school already runs, and you describe it in plain English.

Everything a school can be, in one platform.

Nine ways schools differ, and what nOS handles on each. Most schools are a mix of several, and nOS schedules the combination.

You describe your school. nOS builds around it.

There’s no template to squeeze into. Your rules are sentences, and your periods, days, terms and teams are whatever your school already uses.

Write rules the way you’d say them: “Team 7A has lunch P5” or “Keep AP Biology a singleton in period 3.”
Schedule teachers and classes before any student enrolls, then add course requests when they’re in.
Homerooms, teams, houses and advisory groups come from columns you already keep.
Keep named bell schedules for chosen days, and let a class meet at set clock times.
A rule can apply to one term only, such as “in the spring”.
Several schools share one account, and shared teachers are checked by clock time between buildings.
It connects to 19 student information systems, or starts from a spreadsheet.

Questions about your kind of school

Will nOS work for my kind of school?

Very likely. nOS schedules any grade range from PK to 12; same-every-day, A/B, 4×4 block, rotating, drop and flex mod days; semesters, trimesters, quarters, hexters, named terms and year-round tracks; and one school or several on one account. If you’re not sure, book a free demo call and we’ll look at your schedule with you.

What if our schedule is unusual?

Most unusual schedules are a mix of things nOS already handles: a cycle of up to 20 days with your own day names, a Sunday-to-Thursday week, divisions with their own days, late-start and exam bell schedules, classes at set clock times, main-lesson blocks, or terms you name yourself. What’s left is usually a rule, and there are 80 kinds, written as sentences.

We’re a K–12 school. Do we need several accounts?

No. Your lower, middle and upper school can each be a school on one account and one bill. Each builds its own schedule, and a teacher shared between them is checked by clock time across all of them.

Do we pay more for a more complex school?

No. The price is per enrolled student, $9.60 down to $7.00 a year, with every feature included. District and multi-year terms are quoted.
