Change the schedule without rebuilding it.

Write the change in a sentence. nOS moves only what it has to, and shows you every student before anything is final.

Write a rule. Only the students it affects move.

Type “Owen Kaur and Leo Ross are at the career center in period 4.” Confirm the card, and nOS re-seats just those two, each with Keep or Undo.

Add a section in a sentence.

“Add a section of Spanish II.” Review additions shows the period, the teacher and who gains a seat. Stage it, and the sample school goes from 92.64% to 94.44%.

  • TeachersA new hire, or “Ms. Park replaces Mr. Kim”.
  • StudentsLate enrollments, seated in what they asked for.
  • Courses and roomsSomething new, or a withdrawal.

Or move a class by hand.

On the Board, drag a class to another period. Cells light up before you drop, and a card shows what it costs, with Undo move.

Nothing is final until you apply it.

Rules, additions and moves all wait together in Changes. Apply them when you’re ready, or discard them.

If a change would break something else, nOS leaves the schedule alone and says why.

Questions about Rules + Additions

Do I have to rebuild the schedule to add a rule?

No. In Schedule Studio a rule changes the schedule you have. nOS re-seats only the students the rule rules out, and shows you each one before anything is final.

What if a student can’t be re-seated?

nOS says so by name. The dialog lists anyone who would lose a class, and you can keep the change or undo it.

Can I add a teacher or a section mid-year?

Yes. Type it, or pick what you’re adding. Review additions shows what changes before you stage it.

Where do the changes go?

Into Changes, with every other edit. Nothing reaches your schedule or your SIS until you apply it.
